The Gold Ribbon Moved

There are two ribbons in my daytimer, one red and one gold.  Red is for today and Gold is affectionately placed at the next time I’m looking forward to.  The gold ribbon was in this week with my book deadline.  But Whhooo WhooooHOoooo, I finished early and moved the ribbon last night.  It now sits in the week of May 22nd…. the LAST week of school.  It’s not that far away, either.  Made me nervous when I figured that out.

We are studying Honor: Pottery and Sculpture right now.  The boys poured plaster of paris into oatmeal containers a few days back and started carving sculptures yesterday.  Go ahead and guess what they are carving??????  Yes, it’s hockey related…….. Lord Stanley’s Cup and a puck.  How original.  I think I might institute a no-hockey rule soon.  It’s in their journals, their reading, their art, their PE……

I feel a bit lost today.  Keep wandering back to the kitchen which is dangerous.  I don’t have stories to write… scriptures to find…. verbiage to edit.  I think I might just go take a nap. (not in the kitchen either)

YOU HAVE BAGS TO SEW!!!!! As far as the kitchen is concerned… I think you should place a radio in there – playing music that you can’t stand. Just a thought.

Linda – can’t wait until your new book is in print.

It was not until today that I thought of my experience with a back seat that would not stay where it belonged. Our son, Marlon, and I were flying to Lima, Peru. I apologized to the person sitting behind me – I felt like I was in his lap for that long trip. Complain – you bet I did. There were not any empty seats so I had to stay put. We were flying Aero Peru. I wonder if they ever did fix that seat. Gram

G&G – Oh, that must have been a LONG flight to Peru. Much worse than my drive to Chandler and back.

J & J, There was a 7-11 in Langley (where we went to College) that played loud Polka music outside to keep the gangsters away. GREAT idea….. but in the kitchen??? I think not.

Oh come on – what’s good for 7-11 is good for YOU!
