Local NB Team De-Frosted by the Arizona Anti-Freeze

(An update from Jennie C., who is braving the frigid temperatures to bring up this scintillating news.)

The Arizona Anti-Freeze have proved true to form, remaining undefeated after the first day of the World Pond Hockey Championships.  Captain Rick Crosby observed, “Oh yeah, they’re gonna respect us now.”  Scoring two goals in the first 30 seconds of their first game, set the tone for a roust like the NB boys had never seen before.  After a final score of 21-10, native Phoenician, Les Englund, a pond hockey virgin before today, declared proudly, “We’ve definitely brought the Arizona heat to this town.”

Sub-zero weather did not deter a dedicated fan base from cheering on this sensational team.  Braving frost bite, bad (but cheap) hamburgers, and odorous hockey players is a small price to pay for the thrill of watching their favorite hockey team in action.
